"Tronc — Disc" Sculptural Form – Reshaping Collection

The Concept:

Part of the ongoing Reshaping Collection, Tronc — Disc begins where the forest ends. A section of found bark trunk — split, raw, the wood grain and knots preserved exactly as they were — holds three wire stems topped with flat paper disc flowers in deep crimson. The disc form is deliberate: not a petal, not a sphere, but a plane. The flower as geometry. The garden as architecture.

The Form:

The bark trunk sits on any surface with the weight and specificity of something collected rather than manufactured. The three wire stems emerge at different heights, each one gently curved by hand, each crimson disc catching the light at a slightly different angle. The piece is in motion even when still — the wire stems responding to air movement with the same logic as a mobile, the discs rotating slowly in a breeze.
