The Concept:
Part of the ongoing Reshaping Collection, Threshold is a study in structural transformation. Created in The Studio using a proprietary layering process of house-made pattern paper, this sculpture mimics the rugged, eroded textures of coastal stone formations while maintaining the surprising lightness of paper.
The Form:
Standing at 28cm, its brutalist silhouette is softened by an organic central void, inviting the viewer to look through the piece rather than just at it. The raw, plaster-like finish highlights every "imperfection" of the paper pulp, making it a tactile experience that changes with the shifting light throughout the day.
