The Concept:
Part of the ongoing Reshaping Collection, Contenidor — Gris is the larger form of the leather storage basket series — the same material logic as Contenidor — Brun but with greater presence and volume. Grey PU leather exterior, Prince of Wales check fabric lining: the exterior restrained and architectural, the interior quietly distinguished.
The Form:
At 30×30×30cm, Contenidor — Gris holds more — blankets, magazines, throws, the accumulated objects of a considered life. The grey exterior disappears into almost any interior palette while the check lining references a textile tradition that has nothing to do with the Mediterranean and everything to do with the collection's biography: materials that travelled, that carry memory, that arrived here from somewhere else and became something new.
