"Talaia" Sculptural Column Series – Reshaping Collection

The Concept:

Part of the ongoing Reshaping Collection, Talaia takes its name from the watchtowers that line the Costa Brava coastline — narrow stone structures built centuries ago to watch the horizon and signal warning between villages. Hand-built in The Studio from layered house-made pattern paper over cardboard, each column carries the same logic: standing tall, standing together, marking a line against the sky.

The Form:

Each Talaia set is composed of three columns at different heights, finished in a graduated colourway that moves from pale at the top to deep and saturated at the base — the colour of dusk falling, or the sea deepening with distance. Fine mark-making in contrasting tone — dashes, dots, irregular lines — runs across the lower portion of each column, referencing the same incised language as the Estrat panel series.

Available in two colourways: Talaia — Terra in terracotta, brown and off-white, and Talaia — Mar in blue, slate and off-white.

Displayed together, the three heights create a skyline — a miniature coastal silhouette for a console table, a fireplace mantel, or a considered corner. Each column also stands alone with complete authority.
