"Roc" Vessel Form – Reshaping Collection

The Concept:

Part of the ongoing Reshaping Collection, Roc — the Catalan word for rock — is the collection's most geological piece. Hand-built in The Studio from layered house-made pattern paper, its irregular silhouette and deeply textured surface are the result of building up the form by hand without mold or template: every surface specific, every edge unrepeatable. It reads like something found on a coastal path rather than something made in a studio.

The Form:

At approximately 18×19×19cm, Roc sits with the quiet authority of a stone that has been in exactly the right place for a very long time. The single opening at the top holds a stem — a dried olive branch, a single reed, a sprig of rosemary — with the minimum of ceremony. The chalk-white mineral finish unifies the irregular surface into something coherent and considered, making the roughness feel intentional rather than accidental. Because it is.
