"Estrat — Mar" Panel – Reshaping Collection

The Concept:

Part of the Estrat series within the Reshaping Collection, Estrat — Mar is the sea colorway — deep Mediterranean blue fading to chalk white, the gradient of light moving through water, or the horizon dissolving on a summer afternoon. Hand-built in The Studio from layered house-made pattern paper, painted in successive acrylic coats and finished with incised mark-making: circles descending in scale like tide marks or sonar readings, vertical score lines like depth measurements on a chart that was never meant to be precise.

The Form:

At 60cm long and 22cm wide with a 4cm deep profile, Estrat — Mar is a single panel that stands alone, vertical or horizontal,  with complete authority. No frame needed. The depth of the piece means it casts its own shadow on the wall — a second, shifting work that changes with the light throughout the day. Hung vertically in a bedroom, hallway, or living room, it brings the Mediterranean inside without a single wave or sailboat in sight.
