"Porta — Ratlles" Fabric Doorstop – Reshaping Collection

The Concept:

Part of the ongoing Reshaping Collection, Porta — Ratlles — the striped one — is built from two materials that define the Mediterranean summer: coastal stripe canvas and black PU leather, weighted with sand collected from the beaches of Palamós. The stripe is not decoration. It is the horizon line, repeated. The sea against the sky, the dock against the water, the awning of every café on the Costa Brava in August.

The Form:

The tapered silhouette sits low and stable on any floor — oak, stone, tile — the leather base protecting the surface while the canvas body holds the weight of a door open to the sea breeze. The leather loop handle allows it to be carried from room to room, repositioned without thought. Functional, specific, and unmistakably from somewhere.

The Sand:

Every Porta doorstop is filled with genuine beach sand from Palamós, collected and triple-treated in The Studio: vinegar-washed, oven-dried, and mixed with baking soda and peppermint essential oil. Clean, moisture-free, and subtly fragrant — a room freshener that also holds your door.
